Lies We Tell Ourselves


It’s 1959 and Jefferson High School has just let in its first group of black students. Sarah Dunbar, one of the new black students, is constantly teased and harrased, and Linda Hairston is the daughter of the town’s biggest proponent of segregation. Neither of them like each other, but when they are paired together for a school project, they start to realize there is more to each other than they thought.
