I am Malala

Malala is a women’s education activist. She lived in an area called Swat Valley. While she was living there a terrorist group called the Taliban took control of the area and instituted Sharia Law. One thing that didn’t sit well with Malala and her family was their treatment of women, women weren’t suppose to learn, go outside unless they were cover head to toe with a veil, and one particular thing that is striking to me is that the Taliban didn’t allow  Women to where pink. One day Malala was going to school when a Taliban soldier  stopped her bus and shot her. They thought this would silence her, but instead it gave her more attention. To learn more read Malala’s book I Am Malala.
