Noggin is a story about cancer, an odd and intriguing story. Travis Coates has acute lymphoblastic leukemia and it has ravaged almost his entire body – only his head to spare. He was losing options but a doctor came and suggested a cryogenic head transplant. Unsure whether or not he was going to live he took a chance and proceeded with the treatment. He lucks out and comes back to life 5 years later. He now has to learn how to adjust to a life where he’s never aged and everyone around him has moved on. This book revolves around everything that comes after his surgery and letting go of the past. The author makes the emotions and story believable despite the unlikely surgery. Needless to say, it was very creative and I really enjoyed the humor. Overall it was a fun read.
